Since launching in Indianapolis at the end of April, we’ve loved exploring the delicious and vibrant food scene and have been delighted to learn about the city’s excellent cocktail scene as well. We had the good fortune to taste this quality firsthand when we partnered with Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery.
Hotel Tango Artisan Distillery was founded in 2014 by Travis Barnes, a veteran who was disabled during his last deployment to Iraq. While in law school, Travis and his wife, Hilary, decided they wanted to start a distillery where they could start a life long dream of owning a company together. All of their spirits are named according to the military phonetic alphabet — Victor Vodka, Golf Gin, Mike Moonshine, etc.
The Hotel Tango team finds creative ways to incorporate Imperfect produce into their handcrafted cocktails to help fight food waste in a fun and delicious way. This summer, Imperfect blueberries star in their blueberry-infused vodka.
Their summer menu features Imperfect cocktails such as:
“Life Like It’s Golden”: golden beet-infused Mike Moonshine, blueberry-infused Victor Vodka, lime juice, simple syrup, and black currant shrub, garnished with blueberries.
“Jaguar Shark Pt. 1”: blueberry-infused Victor Vodka, housemade peach liqueur, lemon juice, passionfruit simple syrup, and black currant shrub.
“Seashells by the Sea-Sho”: blueberry-infused Victor Vodka, lime juice, shisho, watermelon juice, and nori bitters.
