This winter, we’ll have plenty of festive fare you can share with friends and family, as well as seasonal snacks you can save for yourself. Let’s take a peek under the tree and see what’s coming in our long-anticipated winter grocery preview!

Winter Produce
This winter, you’ll want to meet our fresh produce under the mistletoe. Sleighs full of sweet winter fruits like citrus, persimmons, and pomegranates are on their way. We’ll also have a very special butternut squash from Access Organics grown by indigenous Navajo Nation farmers in New Mexico – the sales from their produce go straight back into the community. In addition, we’ll have a wonderful line-up of ready-to-go produce items to save you time; our salad kits and pre-cooked beets are perfect for balancing out a cookie-heavy diet.
Bountiful Baking Options

Maybe you’re more in the mood to sink your mittens into a bowlful of dough? Just in time for cookie season, we’ll have our very own Baking Chocolate, as well as Not-Your-Average Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips from sustainably grown cacao beans. Our new Almond Flour is a great example of upcycling within our own supply chain: We bought too many blemished almonds earlier this year, so we reprocessed them into almond flour just in time for baking season to make sure they could be enjoyed instead of sitting on our shelves. Be sure to enjoy the cookies of your labor with a steaming mugful of hot cocoa – our Cocoa Powder contributes to the betterment of the communities that grow it by providing training and a fair income for farmers. Pretty sweet, right?

Stuff your Stockings
On Dancer! On Prancer! On cinnamon! On nutmeg! On a cookie? You betcha. Fitted with hand-iced buttons and fashioned with jaunty smiles, our Gingerbread Folk herald the season in style. And it wouldn’t be the holidays if our food waste solution to everything wasn’t to dip it dark chocolate or cover it in toffee. Our fan-favorite Dark Chocolate Covered Pretzel Pieces will get a pepperminty makeover using the peppermint dust leftover from processing candy canes that would otherwise go to waste, and our cherries have been saved from a pit-iful fate and dunked in chocolate.
Savor Thyme Together

Let’s face it: in 2020, you’re not always in the mood to cook everything from scratch. That’s more than okay and we’re here to help meet you wherever you’re at on the cooking spectrum these days. Take the easy road to soup season with Imperfect’s Minestrone and Butternut Squash Soups, made with mélanges of imperfect veggies. We’re here to bring that spirit to dessert, too! Our lineup of pre-made pies, including apple, pumpkin, and pecan, are so good, your guests might just assume you spent hours in the kitchen (we won’t tell!).
Raise a glass of eggnog to a less wasteful holiday and cheers to many merry mouthfuls!

November 12, 2020 at 8:21 pmAny chance you will use that almond flour and make gluten free pies? If I decide I want to keep my delivery but want to contribute an imperfect box to a food bank, is that an option?

November 13, 2020 at 1:20 amI donate part of my box each time. I live alone and cannot possibly use my whole box each time. I also have a minumum purchase so my box costs the same no matter what size I get. I donate a lot to either my local food bank or to a low income family near me. I have the box sent to me and then I take out the items I’m going to keep and donate the rest.
